We have a current opening for a Preconstruction Manager for our Building Group in our Sacramento, CA office.

• Manage estimating process and timelines to meet company objectives, both short- andlong-term.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training for all estimators; from beginners to seasoned estimators.
• Assist with design andselectionof system components.
• Review all invitations to bid, assessing project scope and available documents, as well ascompanymanpower& work in progress, todeterminewhich projects Royal will accept forbidding.
• Oversee communication with all groups during the bidding process (Electrical Construction, Fire Alarm, Voice Data, Audio Visual, Security, Electrical Service) - to define scope of work for all involved, and to ensure timely completion of proposal submissions to General Contractor / Construction Manager.
• Review and finalize
  
  Estimator and Senior Estimator project proposals and bid packages.
• Labor projections, monthly look-ahead assessments, and quarterly financialprojectionforall groups & scopes of work.
• Assist with design andselectionof system components.
• Coordinate with Project Management for successful hand-off / transfer of awarded projects and providing guidance during construction as needed.
• Participate in Business Development, client Presentations, and contractor Scope Reviews.
• Negotiateworkwith General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, and Owners.
• Complete budgets from Schematic Narrative phase to 100% CDphase;as well as Design/Build and IPD projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least5+years of related experience as a Project Manager or Preconstruction Manager, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to lead large estimates
• Passion for preconstruction and estimating
• Strong communication skills both in person and virtual
• Strong work ethic and self-starter isa must
• Ability toutilizecomputers, and experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel, On Screen
• takeoff, other estimating software programs
• Willingness to learn new systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work with limited instruction and implement successful action items
• Applicant must be proficient with conceptual, design assist, hard bid and self-perform

• $140,000/year - $180,000/year
• This is an exempt position
