Lead critical power infrastructure projects from concept to energization while driving projects that directly impact the reliability of the electric grid.
We're seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of transmission, substation, and utility infrastructure projects.
This role offers the opportunity to manage high-visibility projects, collaborate with engineering and construction teams, and take ownership of the full project lifecycle from planning and procurement through construction and final energization.
What You'll Do
+ Manage a portfolio of 10-15 active utility infrastructure projects simultaneously.
+ Lead projects ranging from approximately $250K to $20M in construction value.
+ Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
+ Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction teams, contractors, and utility clients.
+ Drive project schedules, cost control, quality standards, and safety performance.
+ Support outage planning, construction sequencing, commissioning, and energization activities.
+ Manage RFIs, change orders, contractor documentation, and project reporting.
+ Develop and administer RFPs, evaluate bids, and support contractor selection.
+ Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership.
What We're Looking For
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of project management or construction management experience.
+ Experience supporting electric utility, transmission, substation, distribution, or related infrastructure projects.
+ Strong understanding of project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and risk management.
+ Experience coordinating multiple projects in various phases of execution.
+ Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and contractors.
+ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
+ Transmission line, substation, or power distribution construction projects.
+ Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
+ Utility outage planning and work sequencing.
+ Construction commissioning and energization support.
+ RFP development, bid evaluation, and contract administration.
+ Cost forecasting, accruals, and project financial reporting.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
