The Skilled Laborerperformstasksinvolvingphysical (manual) laboratcivilconstructionprojects.
Theywillhavegeneralknowledgeofcivilconstructionprojectsandlaborworkduetoexperienceoncivilconstructionprojects.
Theywillhavesomeexperienceoperatingormovingheavyandlightequipment.
Theyhavethecapacitytoplanandcoordinatelabortasks.
Thepositionmayoperateavarietyofhandandpowertoolsandmaycleanandpreparesites,dig trenches,setbracestosupportthesidesofexcavations,erectscaffolding,cleanuprubbleanddebris,andremovewastematerials.
Thepositionmayassistothercraftworkers.
- Performsavarietyoftasksinvolvingstrenuousmanuallaborinheavyconstructionprojects.
- Someexperiencemovingandoperatingheavyandlightdutyequipment.
- Abilitytoplanandcoordinatelaboractivities.
- Demonstratesabilitytocomprehendsupervisor’sinstructionsandleadteammembersinexecutingappropriatetasks.
- Excavatesandfillstrenchesandditcheswithhandtools.
- Usesavarietyofhand,pneumatic,&electricalpowertools.
- Maintainsacleanjobsite;picksupalltoolsandequipmentandsecuresjobsiteeachdaytoeliminatepotentialhazards.
- Performsmaterialshandlingandstorage.
- Loadsandunloadstrucksandhaulsandhoistsmaterials.
- Ensuresthatpropersafetyandincidentreportingproceduresarefollowed.
