Project Manager - Primoris Heavy Civil - Louisiana

** Job Overview:
** The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closing of heavy civil construction projects in Louisiana, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion, including pre-construction planning, scheduling, budget control, and close-out.

* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.

* Oversee and coordinate project teams, including superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

* Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards on all project sites.

* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and other stakeholders, maintaining effective communication and managing expectations.

* Negotiate and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.

* Prepare and present regular project reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments, to senior management.

* Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues to prevent delays and cost overruns.

* Review and approve project invoices and ensure accurate cost tracking.

* Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations, as required.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction industry, specifically in Louisiana.

* Proven track record of successfully delivering complex heavy civil projects (e.g., highways, bridges, earthwork, utilities).

* Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6), and cost control techniques.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.

* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

* OSHA 30 certification preferred.

* Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites throughout Louisiana.  #LI-KG1
