Instructor for DANCE 112/212 – West African Dance (Fall 2026) Course Description
This in‑person course introduces students to the arts of West African dance from Ghana, covering music, dance history, culture, etiquette, and application in social settings and stage performances.
ResponsibilitiesTeach DANCE 112/212 to undergraduate students in the Fall 2026 term, including delivering lectures, leading in‑class movement activities, and providing feedback to students on performance and analysis. Serve as accompanist for the class.
Qualifications- Several years of experience teaching West African Dance at the college level.
- Able to serve as accompanist for the class.
- Residency in California.
Salary range as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU Local 1021.
