KSLA News 12 is the CBS-affiliated television station serving the Ark-La-Tex region of Northwest Louisiana, Southwest Arkansas, and Northeast Texas. Owned by Raycom Media, the station operates from studios on Fairfield Avenue and Dashiel Street in central Shreveport. KSLA News 12 has been a trusted local news source since 1954, when it became the first television station to sign on in the region.
Over time, as additional stations launched, KSLA News 12 became the exclusive CBS station in the Ark-La-Tex. The station continues to focus on providing timely, accurate news and programming to its diverse regional audience.
The Digital Content Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Shreveport-Bossier City Area. This role oversees the planning, creation, and publishing of digital content across KSLA News 12’s website, apps, and social platforms to support daily news coverage and long-term audience growth. The Digital Content Manager collaborates with newsroom staff to develop and implement content strategies, ensures stories are optimized for digital audiences, and maintains consistent brand voice and quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include managing content workflows, editing and posting web stories, monitoring analytics, and adjusting coverage to maximize engagement and reach. The role also involves coordinating projects, training team members on digital best practices, and partnering with other departments to support promotional and special coverage initiatives.
- Ability to plan, organize, and oversee digital initiatives using strong Content Management and Project Management skills.
- Experience developing and implementing effective Content Strategy to grow and engage digital audiences.
- Proficiency in Web Content Writing and Writing, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and compelling news and feature content.
- Strong editorial judgment, understanding of newsroom workflows, and familiarity with CMS platforms and basic web publishing tools.
- Knowledge of SEO principles, social media best practices, and audience analytics to inform content decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Previous experience in digital journalism, broadcasting, or media is preferred; local news experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
