Founding Product Designer – Senior

• Define and own the end-to-end user experience and design language for early-stage products
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications
• Develop user research strategies to understand customer pain points and optimize design decisions
• Collaborate with founders, engineers, and product teams to align design with business objectives
• Build and maintain design systems and reusable UI components for scalability
• Conduct usability testing, A/B testing, and iterative improvements based on data and user feedback
• Advocate for design best practices, accessibility, and human-centered design principles
• Join Signal Fire’s Talent Network so the profile can be shared with portfolio companies
• Potentially engage directly with Signal Fire talent partners or portfolio-company leaders when there is a match

• 3+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX, or visual design for web and mobile applications
• Strong proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools such as Framer and In Vision
• Experience building and scaling design systems from scratch
• Knowledge of user research methodologies, usability testing, and data-driven design decision-making
• Understanding of interaction design, motion design, and responsive UI principles
• Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and basic Java Script
• Experience working with early-stage startups or lean product teams is a plus

Demonstrates expertise in product design and user experience, with a strong focus on creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for web and mobile applications. Proficient in building design systems and conducting user research to inform data-driven design decisions.
