Public Safety Dispatcher

Overview

Join the Public Safety team as a Dispatcher and help ensure effective communication and response across the park. Join the Six Flags team and enjoy FREE park admission, exclusive ride nights, and special employee events! You must be at least 18 years or older to apply. We offer flexible scheduling!

• Answer incoming phone calls and extract vital information from the caller. These calls may include needs for onsite security, safety, and EMS.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel based off of unit’s locations and call type.
• Monitor radio traffic on multiple channels and record pertinent information to input into a CAD system.
• Monitor fire and security alarm systems, as well as surveillance cameras.
• Communications with outside emergency response agencies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Public Safety Leadership.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, including speaking clearly and distinctly
• Able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks in an efficient manner
• Good organizational and follow through skills
• Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
• Computer experience, including Office 365, and typing efficiently
• Preferred:
  Experience as a public safety dispatcher, and/or knowledge of Six Flags St. Louis
• Must be professional, self-motivated, and have an enthusiastic attitude
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
