About The Opportunity

We're partnering with a well-established company seeking a professional, detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping customers find solutions while maintaining strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Collections & Account Management

  • Contact customers regarding past-due invoices and outstanding account balances
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on collection efforts
  • Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity and customer communications
  • Review delinquent accounts and determine appropriate collection strategies
  • Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts accordingly

Customer Service & Communication

  • Respond to customer questions regarding invoices, payment history, account balances, and billing concerns
  • Resolve payment disputes and account discrepancies professionally and efficiently
  • Communicate with customers through phone, email, written correspondence, and other approved methods
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships while ensuring timely collections

Reporting & Administrative Support

  • Assist with collection reporting and account status updates
  • Maintain accurate account records and customer information
  • Support internal departments with account-related inquiries and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and collection procedures
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of business-to-business (B2B) or corporate collections experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, assertive, and solution-oriented approach to collections
