Compensation: $3,745.00 – $5,429.00 per month (minimum salary and alternate range may apply)

Work Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday (Permanent, Full‑Time)

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is responsible for licensing drivers, registering vehicles, securing identities, and regulating the motor vehicle industry. This role provides first‑line customer service by handling cashiering, data entry, and providing verbal, written, and technical assistance for driver licensing, identification cards, vehicle registrations, and occupational licenses.

• Cashiering and processing financial transactions accurately.
• Entering data into DMV systems and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing verbal and written assistance to customers on licensing, registration, and identification matters.
• Issuing identity cards, vehicle registrations, and occupational licenses in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Maintaining high standards of dependability, punctuality, and customer service.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer‑first attitude.
• Can‑do attitude, initiative, and ability to handle varied tasks simultaneously.
• Sound decision‑making and problem‑solving ability.
• Team player who also works independently to resolve customer needs.
• Patience, flexibility, and emotional maturity.
• Eligibility for California state employment and required background clearance.

• Experience in face‑to‑face customer service or cashiering roles.
• Data entry proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of DMV or similar regulatory processes is an advantage.
