Student Center Worker

The Student Center Worker provides support for the daily operations of the Student Center. This position helps create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for students and guests by assisting with facility upkeep, event setup, customer service, and general supervision of the space.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting students and visitors, providing information about campus events, activities, and Student Center services.
• Monitoring the Student Center to ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
• Checking out recreational equipment, games, or supplies and ensuring proper return and storage.
• Assisting with the setup and cleanup of events, meetings, or student activities.
• Operating audio/visual or gaming equipment as needed.
• Reporting maintenance, safety, or facility issues promptly to supervisors.
• Supporting Student Life staff with office or event-related tasks as assigned.
• Promoting campus engagement and involvement opportunities to students.

Work schedule typically includes 5–15 hours per week depending on need and availability. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications include:

• Must be a currently enrolled student at NCMC.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends as scheduled.
