Salary: $5,819.00 - $8,012.00 per Month

New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

The Border Communications Center dispatch employees receive an additional $750.00 recruitment and retention monthly pay differential. Part-time and intermittent employees shall receive a pro-rated share of the monthly differential based on the total number of hours worked within the monthly pay period.

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I, the Public Safety Dispatch Supervisor I (PSDS I) provides supervision for the Public Safety Dispatchers and Public Safety Operators;
• coordinates and prepares monthly and daily work schedules;
• responsible for training dispatch personnel and establishing training needs and guidelines;
• prepares probationary and annual performance appraisals;
• accountable for daily and monthly payroll paperwork;
• responsible for appropriate coverage on the dispatch floor;
• participates in pre-employment interviews;
• and other duties as assigned.

Border Communications Center is currently on the 3/12 alternate work week and has seniority sign-up.
