Location: Klauber Machine & Gear, Pacific, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site | 1 st Shift
Pay: $19.00 to $21.60 per hour

Sign On and Referral Bonus: $500

Reports to: Operations Manager

About the Position

KMG is looking for a Customer Service / Office Administrator to join our team in Pacific, MO.

In this role, you will be a key contact for our customers. You will answer questions, enter and update orders, provide delivery updates, and help resolve customer issues.

You will also work closely with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and other teams to make sure customer needs are understood and orders are handled correctly.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, solving problems, and seeing things through from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer customer questions by phone and email.
  • Enter and update customer orders accurately.
  • Provide customers with order, product, and delivery information.
  • Track orders and follow up on open items.
  • Handle customer concerns and help resolve problems.
  • Keep customers informed about delays, changes, or other issues.
  • Work with Production, Warehouse, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales to meet customer needs.
  • Communicate customer requirements clearly to the appropriate teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Assist with quotes, reports, data entry, and other office tasks.
  • Provide backup support for other office functions when needed.
  • Follow company safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service, office, order entry, or similar experience.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up on open items.
  • Professional and dependable work style.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word
    .
  • Ability to learn company software and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience
  • Customer order entry or order management
  • ERP or MRP systems
  • Working with production, warehouse, purchasing, or shipping teams

Manufacturing experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The job requires the ability to:

  • Lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds on a regular basis
  • Read instructions, documents, and information on a computer or a screen
  • Sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday
  • Occasionally kneel, climb, bend, reach, and grasp
  • Use your hands and arms for typing, reaching, lifting, handling paperwork and other tasks
  • Communicate clearly with coworkers and customers by speaking and listening
  • Learn new tasks and company processes quickly
  • Stay organized and pay attention to details
  • Handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Solve problems, use basic math and reasoning skills, and make decisions when needed
  • Work independently and stay productive with normal supervisor

This position is primarily based in an office but may occasionally require visits to the production or warehouse areas.

When entering designated production areas, employees must follow all safety requirements and wear required PPE.
