** Dental Hygienist

*** Job Functions/Responsibilities:
*** Perform routine dental hygiene procedures including scaling and root planing, coronal polishing, obtaining dental x-rays, application of desensitizing agents, administration of local anesthetics (with proper licensure), etc.
* Review patient’s medical and dental history and identify immediate needs
* Discuss with patient oral hygiene instructions that include an obtainable plan for the patient’s needs. Identify obstacles and teach patients how to prevent dental disease. Dispense proper oral hygiene aids
* Maintain patient dental charts, including periodontal charting and proper documentation
* Stock required supplies and maintain equipment
* Work in coordination with management to develop and implement a quality assurance program
* May need to perform as a dental assistant as needed
* Adhere to professional standards and company policies and procedures
* Other duties as assigned.## Qualifications

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** Associate or bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene
* Ky State Dental Hygiene License
* License or designation to administer local anesthetics preferred
* Experience preferred
** Schedule Requirements:
** Part-time position, 5 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.

Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
