Position: Dental Assistant (Richland)
Location: Orange

Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support providers and ensure efficient patient flow at our Richland clinic.

COMC is a Missouri non‑profit, federally qualified health center serving Pulaski, Laclede, Camden, and Miller counties for over 40 years. We seek a mission‑driven, self‑starter who can adapt quickly to new conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and dental information.
  • Expose and process dental radiographs (as permitted by certification and state regulations).
  • Provide patient education regarding oral health, treatment plans, and post‑operative care.
  • Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Ensure operatories are stocked, organized, and ready for patient care.
  • Assist with scheduling, charting, and documentation as needed.
  • Support team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous dental assisting experience.
  • Dental Assistant certification(s).
  • Nitrous Oxide certification.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with electronic dental records.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Dependable, professional, and team‑oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the dental profession.
