Location: Orange
Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is seeking a Dental Assistant to support providers and ensure efficient patient flow at our Richland clinic.
COMC is a Missouri non‑profit, federally qualified health center serving Pulaski, Laclede, Camden, and Miller counties for over 40 years. We seek a mission‑driven, self‑starter who can adapt quickly to new conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care.
- Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and dental information.
- Expose and process dental radiographs (as permitted by certification and state regulations).
- Provide patient education regarding oral health, treatment plans, and post‑operative care.
- Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Ensure operatories are stocked, organized, and ready for patient care.
- Assist with scheduling, charting, and documentation as needed.
- Support team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
- Previous dental assisting experience.
- Dental Assistant certification(s).
- Nitrous Oxide certification.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Experience with electronic dental records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Dependable, professional, and team‑oriented attitude.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the dental profession.
