St. Louis Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will support the dentist and clinical team in providing exceptional pediatric dental care while helping create a positive, comfortable experience for children and their families.
Your responsibilities will include:- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures and exams
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
- Take and process dental X-rays in compliance with applicable safety regulations
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain infection control, sterilization, and OSHA compliance
- Support the clinical team with daily patient care and office operations
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
- Previous experience or knowledge in a dental or medical setting preferred, but not required
- Active dental assistant certification preferred, but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, patient-focused approach to working with children and families
You are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric dental environment. You enjoy working with children and families and are committed to creating a positive and welcoming patient experience. You communicate effectively, work well as part of a collaborative team, and are flexible in supporting the needs of the practice. This position requires the ability and willingness to travel between up to four practice locations as needed to support team and patient needs.
