Role Description The Registered Dental Hygienist is a full-time, on-site role, providing clinical care in mobile or community dental settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing oral health assessments, dental cleanings, fluoride varnish, and sealants in accordance with state regulations and clinical guidelines. The role involves educating patients on oral hygiene techniques, dental disease prevention, and overall oral health maintenance. The hygienist will collaborate with dentists and other oral health professionals to support treatment plans, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.

Additional responsibilities may include assisting with scheduling logistics for mobile clinics, preparing and organizing equipment, and contributing to a positive, respectful patient experience in varied settings.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to deliver safe, evidence-based hygiene services.
• Proficiency in Hygiene and Dental Prophylaxis procedures, including thorough cleanings and preventive care.
• Proficiency in dental sealant placement.
• Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Michigan and current CPR/BLS certification.
• Demonstrated commitment to infection control, patient safety, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in mobile and community-based environments.
• Ability to travel and adapt to different care settings, and manage time efficiently.
• Experience in community dentistry, public health, or mobile dental services is beneficial.
