Overview
Join SOM’s Year One Program as a Junior Designer – Interiors. The program builds on your formal education, offering hands‑on project work, learning events, and collaboration across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and innovate with a strong conceptual design approach, integrating interdisciplinary criteria to advance project components.
- Apply basic knowledge of Interiors and Architectural building materials, finishes, systems, and construction standards to enrich design concepts.
- Produce design documentation, construction drawings, and construction administration support for Interior Architecture projects.
- Manage time and workload to meet project deadlines, collaborating regularly with project leaders.
- Recent completion of a professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Strong collaborative ability and effective communication across the project team and consultants.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape, VR, Adobe Suite, and rendering/graphics software; also skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Experience implementing BIM/CAD project standards and procedures.
