Wall Panel Design Technician

Energy Panel Structures Inc. seeks a Wall Panel Design Technician to develop detailed wall panel and SIP layouts for residential, agricultural, and commercial projects. Using CAD software, you will interpret architectural and structural plans, create shop drawings, optimize material usage, and prepare production-ready files. You'll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and construction support teams to ensure accuracy, energy efficiency, and code compliance, while assisting dealers and builders with design questions and adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed wall panel and SIP layouts from architectural and structural plans
• Develop accurate shop drawings and production-ready files using CAD software
• Interpret and clarify construction documents for panelized building systems
• Optimize material usage and panel layouts for efficiency and constructability
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design issues
• Support dealers and builders with design questions and plan adjustments
• Verify dimensions, openings, and connection details to ensure accuracy
• Apply relevant building codes and standards under guidance
• Prepare material lists, takeoffs, and related documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement of design standards and templates
