Our client, a nationally recognized AEC firm, is seeking an Intermediate Urban Planner to join its growing Orange County Planning Team. The role supports residential and mixed-use projects from early visioning and site planning through entitlement approvals, with exposure to projects ranging from low-density communities to high-density multifamily and podium developments.
NOTE
- 100% onsite in Orange County - Hybrid or Remote not available
- 3-5 years of relevant professional planning experience - no recent grads please
- Strong AutoCAD and Sketch Up skills required
- Growing planning group within a national architecture and planning firm - in Top U.S. 20
- Diverse residential and mixed-use work, from neighborhood planning to podium and high-density development
- Collaborate with planners, architects, landscape architects, designers, and development teams

- Prepare site plans, conceptual planning studies, density/yield studies, diagrams, and exhibits
- Support master planning, land planning, neighborhood, and mixed-use development studies
- Research zoning, General Plans, development standards, and land-use requirements
- Perform entitlement due diligence and assist with submittals and public-hearing materials
- Coordinate with internal architecture, landscape architecture, design, and development teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design
- 3-5 years of relevant experience with strong residential / multifamily planning exposure
- Understanding of zoning ordinances, entitlement processes, site design, and land development principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong graphic communication, organization, collaboration, and presentation skills
