• Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and detect abnormalities.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye.
• Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure continuity of care.

• Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Attention to detail and precision in vision testing and prescriptions.
• Ability to manage a high volume of patients efficiently.
• Adaptability to different clinical settings and technologies.

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.

• Active and unrestricted optometry license in California.
• Therapeutic pharmaceutical agent (TPA) certification, where required.
