Marin Gastroenterology is seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist to provide on-call and outpatient coverage on a per-diem basis. The contractor will deliver high-quality gastrointestinal care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including urgent consults, cross-coverage, and procedural services.
This role offers flexible scheduling through structured call blocks and the opportunity to work within a collaborative clinical team.
- Provide on-callgastroenterology services in 3–10 days per month. May be consecutive, orbroken into 3 or 4 day blocks
- Delivercomprehensive GI care within full scope of practice.
- Performinpatient consultations for two local hospitals, less than 15 miles apart
- Perform cross-coverage duties for physicians that may be out of the office
- Conduct urgentoutpatient visits (in office and via telehealth).
- Performoutpatient procedures at affiliated hospitals as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EHR system.
- Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Position Requirements
- MD or DO,Gastroenterology specialization
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology (ABIM)
- Active California medical license
- Valid DEA registration
- Hospitalprivileges eligibility at Marin Health Medical Center and Novato Community Hospital
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Maintain good standing with medical staff and credentialing bodies
- Adhere to practice policies and code of conduct
- Ensure HIPAAcompliance
- Maintain required insurance and credentials
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The contractor is responsible for taxes, insurance, and benefits.
