Youth Pastor Norwood Baptist Church

Norwood Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Part-Time Youth Minister to serve our 7th-12th grade students & their families. Norwood Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church that is located in the small village of Norwood, Louisiana in beautiful East Feliciana Parish and is an hour north of Baton Rouge. We are a multigenerational church that is very mission-minded and seeks to call a like-minded Youth Minister.

The church is healthy, vibrant, and growing, with a youth group that is in the process of regrowth after a large graduating senior class.

Responsibilities and

Duties include:

• Working with and under the leadership of the pastor
• Will be responsible for leading and developing our youth ministry
• Will nurture a strong foundation in our teenage students
• Develop and maintain a yearly calendar of youth activities, events, retreats, and camps
• He will develop relationships with youth and parents by providing support and guidance and sharing faith lovingly
• He should also seek out unchurched or unsaved families with youth in and around the community
• Will ensure the appropriate integration of the total Youth Program into the overall program of the Church

Seminary training is not a requirement, but such training is beneficial & such ongoing training will have the full support of the church body. This position is eligible to apply and receive the NOBTS Caskey Scholarship (full tuition up to 8,000 annually) for undergraduate or master’s study at NOBTS.
