High School English Teacher ; Position

Overview

Middle/High School English Teacher (Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait). Position accepts applicants unaccompanied of dependents, only.

• Teach English Language Arts courses across grades 6–12, including literature, composition, grammar, reading comprehension, and elective humanities courses as assigned.
• Deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with ABS curriculum standards.
• Foster critical thinking, literary analysis, discussion, and effective written and oral communication.
• Differentiate instruction to support a range of learners and proficiency levels.
• Design assessments and provide timely, meaningful feedback on student work.
• Maintain accurate grading records and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with the Humanities Department on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary projects.
• Participate in professional development activities and school-wide initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Language Arts, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid teaching certification/license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching English Language Arts in grades 6–12 (preferred).
• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire a love of reading, writing, and thoughtful expression across cultures.
