The Theatre Technicians will provide effectivetechnical services for events andassistwith the overallvenue operations and processes. As a key member of ourteam, you will work within a fully resourced, professional, theatrespace, complete with full fly tower and orchestra pit, as well asin each of the Black Theatres and other smaller eventspaces.

Theatre Program,we are seeking expressions of interest from Theatre Technicians who are interested in joining our team on a casual basisandhelpour students shineand bring their biggest dreams to life onstage.
Our productions and events span theentire year, each one offering a new opportunity to createsomething extraordinary. Once dates areconfirmed,we’llshare details with as much noticeas possible—whether yourexpertiseis needed beforethe show, behind the scenes on the day, or in thefinalmomentsafter the curtain falls.
Key Duties- Provideexpertiseandsupport around lighting and audiorequirements
- Assistin the management ofall Performing Arts facilities systemsandmaintaintheir effectiveoperation
- Ensure effective set-up andpack-down of equipment and provide technical support forperformances and events
- Contribute to efficientoperation and safety of the facilities, andassistinthe supervision of activities performed in the areas of thevenue
- Assist with securing thevenue and the safety of its occupants by working within thevenue’s operational policies and guidelines
- Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School valuesandbehaviours.
- Experience and/or knowledge ofthe technical requirements and OH&S in a performing artscentre, and ability to support others in thesefunctions
- Current working knowledge of themechanics and operation of manual double-purchase flying system and counterweight flying system,including adequate numerical skillsasrequired
- Proficient and creative skillsas a lighting board operator and audio deskoperator
- Venue Technical Training Certificate from an accredited organisation or equivalenttechnical experience or OHSqualifications .
- Have a Victorian Employment Working with Children Check, Level 1 First Aid and Anaphylaxis Certification or be prepared to obtainthese
