Our Mathematics curriculum supports students to experience success in numeracy-based problem solving, while increasing their confidence, resilience and independence in logical reasoning and analytical thinking.
At Mac Killop, Mathematics teaching is grounded in strong curriculum design and purposeful delivery. Technical skills are developed through planned, coherent and well-sequenced programs that are responsive to student learning needs and aligned with curriculum goals. Learning experiences are grounded in real-world application, supporting students to see mathematics as meaningful, relevant and transferable beyond the classroom. Our community of talented educators is committed to preparing students for life both in and beyond school through the delivery of an engaging academic and behavioural curriculum.
Learning experiences are intentionally designed to challenge, support and encourage every student to achieve their potential.
This is a permanent, full-time position; however, part-time applications will also be considered. The successful applicant will commence in Term 1, 2026.
- a passion for teaching mathematics and engaging students
- an ability to translate curriculum into engaging, real-world learning experiences that develop conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence in numeracy
- creative ways to integrate evidence-based practice into our academic and behaviour curriculum, to improve educational outcomes
- a commitment to role modelling respect for every student’s individuality and learning diversity need
- experience in using multiple teaching techniques and technologies to engage students in learning
- a commitment to collaboration and continuous innovation in the development of learning resources
- demonstrated ability to foster a welcoming and safe learning environment
- a commitment to work in a Catholic Education environment.
