Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.
Requirements / QualificationsSCOE Para Educator Severe Application
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience in working with children or individuals with disabilities.
CERTIFICATES & DEGREES:
This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency Test certificate. The following can be substituted for the SCOE Para Proficiency Test: NCLB/ESSA Test certificate from Stanislaus County, CBEST, or transcripts showing a minimum of 48 college units or AA degree or higher level degree awarded (transcripts can be unofficial). PLEASE ATTACH A COPY TO YOUR APPLICATION.
THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION BUT WILL BE REQUIRED IF OFFERED EMPLOYMENT:
- DOJ Fingerprint clearance
- TB Clearance
- Lift Test/Drug Screen clearance
