* Position Summary:

** The 5th Grade Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, Christ-centered instruction in one of the four core academic subjects—Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, or Mathematics—as well as Bible. This position supports the academic, spiritual, and social development of students within a nurturing Christian learning environment. The teacher integrates biblical truth and Christian worldview into daily instruction and models Christ-like character in all interactions.

* Key Responsibilities:

**** Instruction & Curriculum
*** Teach one core academic subject (Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, or Math) in alignment with school standards and curriculum guidelines
* Teach Bible in homeroom class, integrating Scripture, Christian doctrine, and practical application appropriate to the developmental level of 5th-grade students
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support diverse learning styles
* Use a variety of instructional strategies, assessments, and other tools to support student learning
* Collaborate with other 5th-grade teachers to support interdisciplinary learning and student success
** Classroom Management & Student Support
*** Create a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment rooted in Christian values
* Maintain clear expectations for behavior, responsibility, and academic integrity
* Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback, support, and enrichment as needed
* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
** Spiritual Leadership
*** Serve as a Christian role model through words, actions, and relationships
* Integrate faith into teaching and daily classroom practices
* Participate in school-wide spiritual activities such as chapel, prayer, and special events
* A strong, clear Christian testimony of accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
* An active participant in a local Christian Church
* Model Christ-like character in all interactions with students, staff, and families with a willingness to be a mentor and be mentored
* Support the spiritual growth of students through encouragement, prayer, and reinforcement of biblical values
* Uphold and promote the mission and faith-based Christian Community Statement of the school
** Professional Responsibilities
*** Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
* Maintain accurate records including lesson plans, grades, and attendance
* Support the mission, vision, and policies of the school
* Collaborate with administration and colleagues to continually improve instruction## Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
* Current teaching license
* Teaching experience preferred
* Strong knowledge of assigned core subject area
* A clear personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church
* Commitment to Christian education and biblical integration
* Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
