Position: Challenge Course Coordinator

The Challenge Course Coordinator is responsible for daily operations of the Mountain Campus challenge ropes course, which includes five in-line high elements, five low elements dispersed in the forested area at the ropes course site, two equipment sheds, an outhouse, and a group gathering structure.

The position serves as a co-trainer and mentor for seasonal staff who will facilitate groups on the ropes course and collaborates with the Assistant Director of Events to develop and adjust weekly schedules and deliver appropriate services. The position carries out communications necessary for soliciting new group bookings, planning for group needs, completing booking to billing process for all day trip groups, and scheduling, mentoring, co-evaluating, and coaching the facilitator staff to meet the demands on the course.

A high level of individual motivation, risk awareness, and organization is required for this role.  work in the challenge course area may also be necessary. On the challenge course, facilitators work with a wide variety of groups leading team building initiatives, and low and high element experiences. Strong interpersonal abilities, time management, problem-solving, attention to details and safety, sound decision-making and technical skills are essential for the position.

Experience with rope systems, climbing gear, belaying, group management, and public speaking are preferred. The ability to work independently and cooperatively is critical. The Challenge Course Coordinator typically works Live and work in a beautiful mountain valley for the summer and/or fall season at the Mountain Campus. * Oversee daily operations of the Mountain Campus challenge ropes course, including inspection, safe use, and upkeep of all high elements, low elements, structures, and equipment.
* Train, mentor, schedule, and support seasonal facilitator staff, acting as a co-trainer and evaluator to ensure high-quality, safe, and engaging program delivery.
* Coordinate all group bookings and logistics, including communication with clients, planning program needs, managing schedules, and completing the full booking-to-billing process.
* Facilitate team‑building and challenge course programs for diverse groups, demonstrating strong technical skills, sound decision-making, and strict adherence to safety procedures.
* Perform site maintenance and operational support tasks, including grounds work, equipment organization, and occasional event management or office assistance as needed.

Special Requirements /Other:
Will be 18 years of age upon or before the first day of employment. Previous or comparable experience working on a challenge ropes course.
