Location: Louisiana
examination is announced to establish an employment list to fill one (1) current east jefferson vacancy in the department of human resource management and future vacancies as they occur.
scope of responsibility- research, manage, plan, supervise, and develop all training activities, staff, and services provided to the jefferson parish workforce on a parish-wide basis.
- develop content and serve as managing editor of the parish employee newsletter, jefftalk; the bimonthly supervisor newsletter, legal updates; the annual report for the department of human resource management; and other parish communications as required.
- provide leadership training and seminars to parish departmental directors and executive staff.
- plan, develop, design, coordinate, and ensure delivery of at least 200 training and informational courses per quarter.
- plan, schedule, supervise, and/or conduct training courses, seminars, workshops, and special topical information.
- develop programs and curriculum for the employees of the organization for orientation and training.
- develop and maintain systems to monitor and ensure employees are performing their responsibilities according to the trainings.
- ensure compliance of employees with standards and procedures through training.
- possession of an accredited bachelor’s degree in any field;
plus two (2) years of satisfactory, paid work experience in a position primarily concerned with the conducting and/or leading of training programs. - or
- possession of a high school diploma or equivalent certificate,
plus six (6) years of satisfactory, paid work experience in a position primarily concerned with the conducting and/or leading of training programs.
- possession of a certified professional in talent development (cptd) certification.
- certified professional in training management (cptm) certification.
- a bachelor's degree (or higher) in education, human resources, psychology, communication, business administration, or a closely related field.
related education, experience, and/or professional certification(s) above and beyond the minimum qualifications will be required for consideration of an entrance salary above the minimum rate but not to exceed the listed salary range. (entrance and promotional)
other requirementsthis position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use (business travel is reimbursed on a mileage basis) will be given preference.
examination requirementsthe examination may consist of a written test, a rating of training and experience, an oral panel interview or any combination thereof. Acceptable applicants will be notified of the time, date, and place of any assembled testing. Applicants must supply complete and accurate information concerning their training and experience including a detailed description of their work experience, the names and addresses of all previous employers and the dates of employment.
