Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic team for the  school year. Our ideal candidate will design and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned to students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) while fostering inclusive, nurturing learning environments that support academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth. The qualified candidates should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate in Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical Education or other similar special education area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based instruction to preschool students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals and Missouri Early Learning Standards (or applicable state standards).
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including progress monitoring and documentation.
• Collaborate with general education preschool teachers, related service providers (speech, OT, PT, school psychologists), paraprofessionals, and families to support student success.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and behavior supports to meet diverse student needs.
• Conduct developmental assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary evaluation teams as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district procedures.
• Create a classroom environment that is safe, structured, inclusive, and supportive of early childhood learners.
• Communicate effectively and regularly with families regarding student progress and needs.
• Supervise and collaborate with paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom.
