About Options For Youth (OFY)

Options For Youth is a network of free public charter schools offering a flexible, personalized approach to learning for students grades 7‑12 who have fallen behind or are looking to succeed in a non‑traditional environment. Since 1987, OFY has helped more than 135,000 students find their passion and pursue their dreams.

• Deliver educational program to ensure data‑driven, results‑based instruction aligned with the Common Core Standards.
• Teach directly to students for up to six hours a day, focusing on mastery of the Common Core Standards and a single‑subject content area.
• Create lesson plans that differentiate instruction to meet student needs and maintain accurate attendance, grade, and retention records.
• Provide targeted interventions for special education students and English Language Learners.
• Participate in community groups, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, teacher training workshops, and assist with state‑mandated student testing.
• Meet with students and parents to discuss progress and address concerns.

• BA/BS degree.
• California preliminary or clear single‑subject teaching credential with English Language Authorization (ELA).
• Internee eligibility is welcomed.

Salary range: $73,000 – $105,000 depending on experience.

Location:

Sacramento.
