Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:
Decoding the Language of the Universe
In our 7th and 8th grade classrooms, math is the ultimate tool for empowerment. We are looking for a dynamic, relatable Math Teacher who can show students that mathematics isn′t just a collection of rules—it’s a way of thinking. You are the mentor who helps scholars bridge the gap between concrete numbers and abstract reasoning, ensuring they leave middle school with the confidence to tackle high school honors courses and beyond.
As part of the FFSD ‘New Chapter’, you will lead a classroom where mistakes are seen as data points and persistence is the key to mastery. If you are ready to help our students find the patterns in the world around them and build a foundation for STEAM success, your next chapter starts here.
Role SummaryAs a Middle School Math Teacher, you will inspire and support students in reaching their academic and mathematical goals. You will deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that focuses on deep conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application. Working in a supportive, student-centered environment, you will utilize data-driven strategies to differentiate instruction, ensuring that every scholar—from those needing intervention to those ready for acceleration—reaches their full potential.
