Nursing Instructor – Aptos, CA (On‑Site)

We are seeking outgoing master’s‑prepared nurses passionate about helping new nursing graduates succeed on the NCLEX exam. You will provide classroom instruction, help students develop learning skills, and may also offer virtual coaching through our Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) program.

• Maintain high energy level and engage students to ensure an excellent student experience.
• Effectively facilitate learning and learner development.
• Learn our methodology and strategies quickly.
• Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.
• Provide individualized guidance via email to KLIC students based on progress.

• MSN or BSN with a master’s degree required.
• Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Weekday availability required.

• Hourly teaching rate: $50–$55.
• Hourly coaching rate: $35.
• Paid training and preparation time.
• Pay increases.
• Seasonal position based on nursing school graduation dates and testing cycles.
• Free or discounted Kaplan courses for qualifying employees or their family members under Kaplan’s Gift of Knowledge Program.
