Position: 1:1 Substitute Instructional Aide - Marshfield, MO
Location: Marshfield

Make a real difference in the life of a young learner as a Paraprofessional, working closely with a Kindergarten student in an inclusive and supportive classroom environment near Marshfield, MO. If you are passionate about early childhood education and bring a strong foundation in American Sign Language, this contract role offers the chance to nurture academic, social, and emotional development in a personalized, impactful way.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide dedicated one-on-one support to a Kindergarten student with communication needs
  • Utilize fluent ASL to help the student navigate daily routines, classroom activities, and peer interactions
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and related service staff on individualized instructional strategies
  • Encourage positive behavior and promote an inclusive, safe learning atmosphere
  • Adapt approach as needed to meet the evolving needs of the student
  • Communicate regularly with the education team and student's family

Qualifications:
  • Warm, patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working with young children
  • Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) to support direct communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an attentive, supportive nature
  • Background in early childhood education, special education, or behavior support is a plus
  • Active Missouri DESE Paraprofessional or Substitute Certificate preferred (not required)
  • Ability to commit to a Monday-Thursday or Friday schedule, 30 hours weekly
  • Dependable transportation and strong attendance record essential
  • Physical ability to sit or stand on the classroom floor and engage actively with students
