The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of High School Industrial Arts Teacher to join our secondary education team for the school year. The High School Industrial Arts Teacher will create a positive learning environment that prepares students with practical technical skills, workplace readiness, and real-world applications aligned to Missouri learning standards and Career and Technical Education (CTE) expectations.

Qualifications:
  • Missouri Career Technical Certificate or Certification in Industrial Technology Grades 9-12 preferred
  • Qualifications To Obtain Provisional or Temporary Certification will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in industrial arts and technology education courses
  • Teach students proper use of tools, machinery, equipment, and safety procedures
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive classroom/shop environment
  • Integrate engineering, design, problem-solving, and technical skills into instruction
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and abilities
  • Utilize hands-on projects and industry-relevant experiences to enhance student learning
  • Assess student performance and provide timely feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
  • Collaborate with administration, counselors, special education staff, and colleagues to support student success
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress
  • Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, district initiatives, and school activities
  • Maintain inventory, equipment maintenance schedules, and supply requests for the industrial arts program
  • Support career exploration and workforce readiness opportunities for students
