Elementary Specialist – Physical Education and Theater Teacher

Job Location:

Number of Openings: 1 (Permanent Position)

Employment Type:

Full Time (1.0 FTE)

Salary: $60,000 – $126,000 per year for fully credentialed staff (internal employees placed on Column 5; external candidates eligible for up to Step 11).

Responsibilities
  • Teach and coordinate Physical Education and Theater courses for elementary students.
  • Develop lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials for both subjects.
  • Manage classroom and program resources, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate cross‑curricular opportunities.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain current teaching credentials.
Qualifications
  • Eligible to teach Physical Education and Theater in California.
  • Full credential or proof of eligibility for both subjects.
  • Strong instructional skills and ability to engage elementary students.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and student assessment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration abilities.
