Chaminade College Preparatory seeks a dynamic, innovative, and engaging long‑term mathematics substitute teacher with strong classroom management skills to serve our high school campus (grades 9‑12) in West Hills, California. This full‑time position will teach five math classes up through Calculus from November 2026 to January 2027.

• Teach five sections of math, including up through Calculus, following the California state and Archdiocesan curriculum.
• Plan lessons, assess student progress, grade assignments, maintain attendance and other records, and communicate with students, families, and counselors.
• Collaborate with department members and course counterparts to evaluate, monitor, and update curriculum, assessment, and pacing guides under the guidance of the Department Chair.
• Ensure instructional strategies respect students’ diverse social identities while aligning with Catholic Marianist values and the mission of the school.
• Integrate technology by using Blackboard LMS, MathXL, My Math Lab , Delta Math, Desmos, AP Classroom, and other EdTech tools; provide training as needed.
• Stay informed about new trends and developments in mathematics, instructional strategies, and assessment.

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related discipline; teaching credential and/or master’s degree preferred.
• Experience teaching high‑school mathematics, including Calculus.
• Proven ability to design and implement lessons that enable all students to succeed and reach their full potential.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Comfort delivering instruction in on‑campus, remote, and hybrid formats.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and to balancing teaching, learning, health, and well‑being.
• Willingness to participate in campus life events and school functions.

• Salary commensurate with experience; range $65,000 to $96,086.
