Location: California

Our client is seeking leaders to manage nature-based, after-school care programs and summer day camps at multiple locations. Start date is flexible based on availability.

The Out-of-School Care Coordinator will oversee daily operations and provide leadership for a licensed, nature-based childcare program in alignment with organizational goals, values, and regulatory requirements.

This role includes fostering strong relationships between families, program staff, and the broader community. The Coordinator will support engagement initiatives, coordinate events, and help build connections between program participants and other community-based opportunities.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about working with children in outdoor environments. They should demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to guide children in recreational and values-based settings. They are looking for someone with a personal alignment with the organization’s Christian faith and values.

Compensation

Full-time annual salary ranging from $45,000 to $49,920, with benefits, performance-based increases, and retention incentives.

Qualifications

Note:

Training and/or certification costs will be covered for suitable candidates.

  • Relevant training or experience in community programming, youth work, or leadership
  • Background in values-based or character development programming considered an asset
  • Physically capable of participating in outdoor activities (e.g., hiking, sports) and responding to emergencies
  • Experience leading children in group recreational or educational settings
  • Minimum 20 hours of child-related training
  • Valid driver’s license (or willingness to obtain with support), ability to obtain a class 4 unrestricted driver's license within 3 months of employment
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Emergency First Aid certification (child or community focus)
  • Food safety certification
