JOB PURPOSE
To serve the students of MBTS and Spurgeon College by researching and implementing administrative projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Accurately compile and enter data (e.g., course textbook reports, course evaluations, etc.)
- Research educational programs and/or scholarly resources
- Order and maintain supplies and resources (e.g., office supplies, coffee, desk copies of textbooks, etc.)
- Communicate in a professional and timely manner to students, faculty, and staff
- Perform other tasks as assigned in support of the academic and administrative projects of the Global Campus.
- Seek to improve vocational excellence, the efficiency of Global Campus processes, and the culture of the Global Campus Team
MUST BE CURRENT STUDENT OF MBTS OR SPURGEON COLLEGE, AND
MUST QUALIFY FOR THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY PROGRAM VIA FAFSA
Including, however not limited to:
- Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
- Pursuing or possessing a Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with online education (preferred)
- Experience using a learning management system (e.g., Canvas) (preferred)
- Working knowledge of digital communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook and Teams) and Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)
- Familiarity with the Southern Baptist Convention, its Cooperative Program, and theological higher education (preferred)
- Active membership in an evangelical church that is likeminded with MBTS
- Professional appearance, demeanor, hygiene, and conversational skills
- Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
- Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
- Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Able to show a desire and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States
- 10-15 hours per week, between the times of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (recurring schedule to be determined by employee and supervisor before the position begins)
- Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at desk or computer station
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
