Newbury Park First Christian Church is looking for a Pastor of Student Ministries who loves students, loves people, and genuinely wants to see young people become devoted followers of Jesus. This person will lead our junior high and high school ministries, investing deeply in students and the volunteer leaders who walk alongside them. We've spent the last couple of years building a strong foundation for student ministry here at NPFCC, and we're looking for someone who is ready to take the wheel and help drive what we've been building.

This is a full-time pastoral role reporting to the Executive Pastor.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Lead weekly programming for middle school and high school students, including teaching, worship, and small group discipleship, with a vision for helping students grow into lifelong faith in Christ.
* Build, recruit, and shepherd a team of adult volunteer leaders who are equipped to invest relationally in students through small groups and one-on-one mentorship.
* Develop and champion a clear discipleship pathway for students that guides them from first contact through growing, committed faith.
* Partner closely with parents, providing regular communication and creating touchpoints that help families pursue faith together at home.
* Lead and coordinate outreach efforts that equip students to share their faith, and oversee annual local and global mission opportunities, including our long-standing Mexico mission.
* Collaborate with church staff across ministry areas, participating in the church's “ministry triangle” model to ensure Student Ministries is aligned with the broader church vision and calendar.
* Provide pastoral oversight and mentorship to the part-time Young Adult Ministry Leader, helping create a healthy bridge between student ministry graduates and the young adult community.
* Engage personally as a discipler, maintaining your own investment in a small group of students and leaders as the outflow of your own walk with God.### Requirements

** You personally pour into a smaller group of students and leaders, and your ministry grows from that hands-on relational overflow rather than from a platform. You believe discipleship sticks in a way that programming alone never will, and you build accordingly.

** You know kids by name and show up in their world, at games, on campuses, in parent conversations, and around the Wednesday night circle. You grow a ministry by being present, not by producing a great show.
* ** Leader Developer:
** Your primary growth engine is people. You recruit and equip volunteer leaders with intention, and you understand that a healthy discipleship model only works when there are enough developed leaders to carry it. You are energized by raising up leaders, not just managing the ones already in the room.
* ** Capable Communicator:
** You can hold a room full of students week after week and connect with teenagers in a way that feels real and earned. You communicate well from the stage, in writing, and on social media, and you know how to build a team around you that helps carry the programming load.
