Middle School Religion Teacher

Job Summary

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Religion Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

• Teach Religion to middle school students
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons rooted in Catholic teaching
• Instruct students in scripture, doctrine, prayer, and Catholic traditions
• Assess student learning and maintain required academic records
• Foster students’ spiritual growth and understanding of the Catholic faith
• Maintain a positive, structured, and faith-centered learning environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities

• Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or related field
• Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) preferred
• Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred
• Middle school teaching experience preferred
• Commitment to Catholic education and formation
