Job Summary
Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Social Studies Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher is responsible for providing instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
Responsibilities- Teach Social Studies to middle school students
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons
- Cover curriculum areas such as history, geography, civics, and social sciences
- Assess student learning and maintain required academic records
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Maintain a positive, structured, and faith‑centered learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or related field
- Missouri teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Middle school teaching experience preferred
- Familiarity with Catholic education preferred
