The Computer Science & Engineering Department at CSU Channel Islands has openings for lecturer positions to teach graduate courses in Computer Science. Examples of course offerings include, but are not limited to, Multi-Agent Systems, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining.
Minimum Degree RequirementsMasters of Computer Science and 3 years of industry experience or Ph.D. in Computer Science.
Required Qualifications- Applicants must hold an M.S. in Computer Science (or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated ability to engage a broad student population and provide mentorship supporting student academic success.
- Commitment to work with and engage a diverse student population, with evidence of success in mentoring minoritized students, especially Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science (or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of teaching experience within a college or industry setting.
- 3+ years of industry experience in the engineering field.
Primary responsibilities are to teach graduate courses in Computer Science and advise students within the classroom setting.
