Unless otherwise noted below, M.A./M.S./M.J. in appropriate field with extensive experience in the area of the course, as well as successful teaching experience in the area of Native American Studies or Native American issues, evidence of cultural knowledge of and experience with American Indian people and tribes is required.

Successful teaching in the area of instruction (e.g., Basketry, canoe-making) and evidence of cultural knowledge.
- Tribal Sovereignty, Tribal Citizens;
Tribal Governance & Leadership;
Federal Indian Law;
Tribal Water Rights; and Tribal Justice Systems
Degree:
Earned Ph.D./J.D./M.J./M.A. with experience of specialization in Federal Indian Law.
Experience:
Experience and expertise in Federal Indian Law and Tribal Water Law through a breadth of knowledge with Native American curricula and/or extensive experience working with or for Indian tribes.
Preferred:
Candidates with experience teaching in higher education, especially in Native American Studies will be given preference.

The salary schedule information for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:
Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The full‑time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
