The general duties of this position will be to assist the Director of Bands with all instrumental programs and instrumental performing groups (including but not limited to Bulldog Marching Band, Concert Band, Pep Band and ensembles), as well as responsibility for recruiting students and developing relationships with area high school directors. Additional responsibilities will include teaching applied music lessons during the regular fall/spring semesters and possibly summer and/or evening sessions.
Duties will also include monitoring academic progress of band members and promoting student retention.

Coordinator of Academic Programs, Goodman Campus
1. Bachelor’s degree in music/music education. Experience or course work using multimedia presentations is preferred. Consideration will be given to equivalent education, related work experience, demonstrated competencies in the discipline and achievements that contribute to effective teaching and student learning outcomes.
Experience in percussion performance, instruction, or ensemble leadership is preferred.
2. Applicants with community college teaching and Canvas experience preferred.
3. Applicants must possess an understanding and commitment to the comprehensive community college philosophy.
4. Applicants must have excellent references from previous employers and/or professors.
