Violin​/Viola Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Orange County, CA

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional Violin/Viola long‑term substitute teacher to teach part‑time for our Lake Forest, CA school, Glee Music Academy. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON at our studio!

• Part‑time coverage on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays from 3 pm–8 pm (absent teacher coverage).
• Option to extend to a regular teaching schedule with available hours Wednesdays & Fridays from 3 pm–8 pm, Saturdays from 9 am–2 pm.

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and staff appreciate consistency. Preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Additional hours and days can be added as studio space is available. Experience working with younger students and neurodivergent students is preferred. The ability to teach other instruments is a plus.

• Teach violin/viola lessons in‑person at the Glee Music Academy studio.
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
• Pass routine background checks.

• Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
• Demonstrated love of teaching and experience working with young musicians.
• Reliable transportation.

Pay ranges from $32–$36 per hour, commensurate with experience.
