Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Direct Instructional Activities (65–75% of Activity, 25–30 hrs. wk.):
    • Preparation of Course Materials
    • Course Presentation
    • Student Performance Evaluation
  • Service to Students, Department, Division or College (20–30% of Activity, 10–15 hrs. wk.):
    • Institutional Service
    • Community Service
    • Student Services
  • Research and Professional Development Activities (5–15% of Activity, 5–10 hrs. wk.):
    • Developing/Maintaining Professional Relationships
    • Continuing Education
    • Publishing/Writing Activities...
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Dean, Vice Chancellor, or Chancellor.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of educational and business services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum qualification for teaching in an academic area is a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of directly-related occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught OR
  • Associate’s degree and 4 years of occupational experience and skill in the field to be taught.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching Industrial Electronics courses at the Community College level.
  • Experience and demonstrated success in teaching.
  • Experience with classroom technology.
Preferred Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated expertise in the subject area is required.
  • Clear and timely written and oral communication.
  • Familiar with technology such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
