Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree, or a minimum of 60 college credit hours, or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment through ETS
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, understand, and effectively follow oral and written instructions
- Experience working with children in a group setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated interest in supporting youth and their educational growth and well-being
- Commitment to assisting the classroom teacher in providing meaningful educational opportunities that support students in reaching their maximum potential
- Ability to collaborate effectively with members of the learning community, including teachers, parents, students, administrators, and staff, using courtesy, tact, sound judgment, and strong customer service skills
- Professional demeanor with dependable attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and appropriate personal presentation
- Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and follow instructional direction
- Demonstrates professionalism by supporting classroom decisions and maintaining appropriate boundaries unless otherwise directed by the teacher
Annual Salary Range for the School Year: $22,695 - $37,809 (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
