Position Summary
The Jazz Ensemble meets on the Park Hills campus each Wednesday of the 16 week semester from 5:00 pm – 7:00pm. It is comprised of MAC music students and Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy community musicians. Provide instruction. Teach and assess student learning, contribute to department work, engage in professional development and contribute to shared governance obligations including accreditation. Compensation is by college credit hour based on faculty credentials.

Technical skills:
Ability to use information technology for instruction. Ability to use technology for the timely and accurate submission of confidential student attendance and grade records.
Education:
Master’s degree from accredited institution in Music with at least 18 graduate hours in areas of instruction.
Work Experience:
Teaching experience, preferably at the college level, and experience with course level assessment required. Proficient use of instructional technology required.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with online and distance learning pedagogy preferred. Knowledge of learning management systems preferred.
Physical Requirements
Working in a professional educational and office environment this position requires sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, light lifting, grasping, talking, seeing, hearing and repetitive motion.
